Moving Checklists

We make moving easy, too!

If you're planning an upcoming move, we know you have a lot on your mind. We want to make this process as easy as possible for you, which is why we've created these helpful checklists. Please read through the information below, and if you still have questions, give us a call for help: (360) 614-3016

Move-in Checklist

We're excited to welcome you to your new property. Start your stay off right by following the information below.

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent check, security deposit, and any other fees must be paid at the lease signing.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your move-in information will be provided at the lease signing; we will also review the move-in condition form with you and explain your responsibilities thoroughly.

Utilities

All utility accounts for your rental home need to be placed in your name. Take care of this as quickly as possible to avoid encountering administrative fees or outages.

Move-out Checklist

We're always sad to say goodbye to tenants, but we do hope you've had a nice stay with us. Review the following as you prepare to move out.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

You need to give us written notice of your intent to vacate your rental home. Please refer to your lease for the move-out date.

Property Condition

You must return your property to us in its original condition. To do this, follow the steps below.

  • Rental Cleaning: Your rental unit needs to be properly cleaned before you can return the keys. This includes removing all of your belongings, thoroughly sanitizing all rooms in the home, and addressing any damage (see below).
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you are generally responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of outdoor space, you'll need to handle these chores once more before vacating.
  • Repairs: If there is cosmetic damage in your rental, such as nail and screw holes or broken glass, please take the necessary measures for repairs. For more substantial damage, work with our team to find an amicable solution.

Security Deposit

The security deposit you pay at the beginning of your lease serves as protection against damage that could occur during your stay. After your departure, we will perform a final inspection to identify any damages.

If we need to schedule repair visits, we will do so and deduct expenses from your deposit. The remainder will be returned to you, along with an itemized statement.

Please note, your security deposit cannot be used to pay your final rent bill.
